Writing Boot Camps

These online classes are live with certified teachers and experienced tutors.

Your children can get all of their questions answered in real-time.

Class sizes are small, creating a supportive learning environment.

  • Elementary Writing Class

    Taught by a certified teacher, the Elementary writing class involves responding to reading assignments by writing well-formed sentences and paragraphs.

    Each 2-week session meets live online 3 times per week for 1 hour. Students will be assigned a time slot based on their best fit.

  • Middle School Writing Class

    This class, often taught by Diana, involves drafting essays in response to assigned books or short stories, focusing on how to formulate a high-quality thesis, finding appropriate quotes, and providing original and meaningful analysis.

    Middle school sessions are designed for students ages 10-13 entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade. Each session will meet 3 times per week for 75 minutes.

  • High School Writing Class

    Our High School writing class, taught by a college writing and composition professor, focuses on formulating argumentative essays (common in English curriculum), including how to create cogent arguments, counterarguments, and rebuttals while effectively integrating outside evidence.

    The high school session meets for 1 hour Monday-Thursday.

ISEE Classes

These online classes are live with experienced instructors and cover the math and verbal/reading comp sections of the ISEE, along with writing tips for the essay.
